Alibaba Cloud's self-developed PolarDB recently won first prize for its scientific and technological progress at the 2020 Science and Technology Award of Chinese Institute of Electronics.
As a next-generation cloud native relational database, PolarDB solves capacity limitations found in traditional databases, shortening automatic scaling process to minute-levels. PolarDB also allows for elastic configuration and provides high concurrency capabilities at just 10% the cost of commercial databases.
